Studying at Waterloo

So exams are upon us at the University of Waterloo. Its about two weeks of no class and 4-5 3 hours exams spread across there. So this means some studying. There are a ton of places to study at the school. You can try any of the faculty buildings and try to grab a classroom, but usually these are all full (and by full it means there is one peron in a 100 hundred seat classroom). There is the Student Life Centre which has random couches and tables. And two main libraries : DP and DC. Now DP is pretty basic setup 10+ floors mostly cubicles except on the main floor, kind of dull straight up studying. But if you are looking to relax, chat and let your procrastination imagination go wild, welcome to club DC.

Club DC is home of the "DC walk around", walk around check out the scene, talking, chatting, computer checking, hours of time wasting entertainment, its really great.

What does a study schedule look like? Well for me :

- Wake up bright and early at 9am
- realize its 9am and go back to sleep for 3 more hours...
- get to school at 1pm
- buy coffee and smoke cigarettes with some slacker friends till 2
- go to the library
- talk to people in the library and try to find a spot 2 hours later...
- sit down...check my email...4:30 back at the desk
- play minesweeper and listen to spanish love songs for 30 more min
- study 5:00 - 5:15
- take a cigarette break, walk 10 minutes to get another coffee with the slacker friends
- back at the desk at 6:00
- study study study
- 6:30 rolls around and its another break, this one is a toss up, minesweeper, get some food, maybe another coffee, find other people to procrastinate collectively...
- BS
- more BS until 1am and then go to sleep

And do it all the next day...
